Thin Ice, BFF was produced to accompany the Artist’s Special Limited Edition of the book, Prints and Their Makers, authored by master printer Phil Sanders and published by Princeton Architectural Press.  Baldridge and Sanders have been collaborating on prints together since 2006 and this project is the second published by PS Marlowe.  


The faux silver foil on each impression may vary slightly, with some impressions showing small amounts of the blue ink printed under the foil to increase its reflectivity.  This is characteristic of the leafing process, and has been embraced by Baldridge both conceptually and aesthetically.  This slight variation lends uniqueness to each work and belies the cold and unpredictable nature of thin ice.
